How Weights Work
Purpose: These weights determine how much each category contributes to the final repairability score (0-10 scale).
Total Must Equal 100%: The four weights sum to exactly 100% (1.0).
Category Details:
- Accessibility: Total number of disassembly steps. Fewer steps = easier = higher score.
- Tool Commonality: How common/accessible the required tools are (based on rarity scores).
- Fastener Count: Total fasteners/components to remove. Fewer = simpler = higher score.
- Tool Difficulty: Difficulty of tool operations based on tool difficulty scores and frequency.
Example: If you want to emphasize tool availability for Right to Repair research, increase "Tool Commonality" weight and decrease others accordingly.
